CIALIS (Tadalafil) is prescribed by the physicians for the male patients with Erectile Dysfunction. CIALIS (Tadalafil), a Phospho-Di-Esterase (enzyme) inhibitor, acts on the body by relaxing the muscle, increases the blood flow to the penis and keep a satisfactory erection for the sexual activity. CIALIS (Tadalafil) is also prescribed for the patients above 18 years with diabetes and the patients who have undergone prostatectomy. CIALIS (Tadalafil) is not indicated for the use in women and children.
Who should not take CIALIS (Tadalafil)?
You should not take CIALIS (Tadalafil), while you take drugs like nitrate drugs for the angina (Chest pain) or the heart problem. Taking CIALIS (Tadalafil) with Nitrates can cause serious and fatal side effects like hypotension, stroke and heart attack. You should not take CIALIS (Tadalafil), if you have personal history of heart disease, peptic ulcer, vision problems including Retinitis pigmentosa (Genetic vision problem), liver disease, blood coagulopathies, high or low blood pressure problems, recent history of stroke, heart attack or congestive heart failure, experiencing nausea or dizziness while the sexual activity, leukemia, kidney disease, problems in the creatinine clearance, if you are on renal dialysis, physical deformity conditions of the penis like Peyronie’s Disease, pre-existing other eye problems, high cholesterol etc. If you experience unusual or prolonged erection for more than 4 hours, you should not take the next dose of CIALIS (Tadalafil) and inform your Physician right away. If you are allergic to CIALIS (Tadalafil), you should not take CIALIS (Tadalafil) without consulting the doctor.
CIALIS (Tadalafil) Side Effects:
CIALIS (Tadalafil) can cause serious side effects like changes or loss of vision and hearing. The vision loss may be due to the problems in the blood circulation of the eye. The CIALIS (Tadalafil) can cause tinnitus (ringing in the ear) and also the loss of hearing ability. Other side effects of CIALIS (Tadalafil) are the profuse sweating, chest pain radiated to the extremities, light headedness, seizures, dyspnoea, arrthymia, stomach upset and diarrhoea. Prolonged and painful erection can occur that may leads to permanent problems like priaprism and the damage to the erectile tissues and scarring, a rare but serious side effect of CIALIS (Tadalafil). How should I take CIALIS (Tadalafil)?
The recommended adult dosage for the CIALIS (Tadalafil) is 2.5 – 20 mg daily. The following instruction should be followed to take the CIALIS (Tadalafil) – 2.5 mg once daily for starting dose and it can adjusted to 5, 10 or even 20 mg depending on the medical need, individual efficacy or the tolerance: (1) Take CIALIS (Tadalafil) approximately in the same time every day 2) Take CIALIS (Tadalafil) while you are sitting or standing up. 3) Take CIALIS (Tadalafil) with 6 to 8 ounces (about 1 cup) of plain water. Do not take CIALIS (Tadalafil) with any other drink besides plain water. Do not take CIALIS (Tadalafil) with coffee, tea, juice, milk or other dairy drinks. 4) Swallow CIALIS (Tadalafil) as a whole. Do not chew the tablet or keep CIALIS (Tadalafil) in your mouth to melt or dissolve. After taking CIALIS (Tadalafil) you must wait at least 30 minutes BEFORE: 1) lying down. You may sit, stand, or do normal activities like read the newspaper or take a walk. 2) Eating or drinking anything except plain water.
Keep taking CIALIS (Tadalafil) for as long as your health care provider tells you to do so. To treat your problems or keep you away from getting these symptoms, you have to take CIALIS (Tadalafil) as often and in the way CIALIS (Tadalafil) as prescribed by your Physician.
What is the important information I should know about CIALIS (Tadalafil)?
Take CIALIS (Tadalafil) exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.
You can take CIALIS (Tadalafil) disregard of food intake and timing of sexual activity.
For CIALIS (Tadalafil) dosage one must follow his doctor’s instructions.
You can indulge in sexual activity after 30 minutes to 30 hours of intake of CIALIS (Tadalafil).
Some form of sexual stimulation is needed to achieve an erection to happen with CIALIS (Tadalafil).

What happens if I miss a dose of CIALIS (Tadalafil)?
Take the missed dose of CIALIS (Tadalafil) as soon as you remember, during the same day. If you do not remember until the next day, skip the missed dose and take CIALIS (Tadalafil) next day as routine dose. Do not take a double dose of the medication that may lead to adverse effects.
What happens if I overdose of CIALIS (Tadalafil)?
In case of overdose, please seek emergency medical attention immediately.
